Changing Conditions

Make sure your windshield wipers are clean and ready to take on heavy rain at any moment, especially in the afternoons.

Sunscreen

Montrose sits at an elevation of 5,822 ft., event on the cooler days sunscreen should be worn and reapplied every two hours when exploring outdoors.

Bring Layers

Even if the days are hot, the temperatures can drop fast when the sun goes down or an unexpected storm rolls in - always bring layers with you when exploring Colorado.

Water

Always bring more water with you than you think you need. It is easy to forget to drink water on the cooler days, but remember that at higher elevation you need more water .
